We’re off to Sweden and Norway

On Wednesday, Sept 17, we fly off to Helsinki, onward to Stockholm and hook up with others for a rail tour up Sweden, above the artic circle and down Norway to Oslo — 17 day tour, 1 extra day on either end and then home, where I am hoping the special session that began on Oct 1 will have been finished when I go back to work. Feel free to tag along!

I agree with the comment above urging you to wear a mask. What a bummer it would be to go all that way and to get sick! I hope you guys enjoy the trip and that you get to see every sight there is to see.
Also, on a note that benefits me personally, if you are able to fit a couple of dala horses into your suitcase (one for you and one for me) I will reimburse you for your troubles! I think they are so cool!
Alas, Cristina — I didn’t see any real ones, only machine-produced wooden ones that were not very interesting and hideously expensive. I have to say, Sweden has sucky, but the aforementioned hideously expensive, souvenirs. I’m trying to get something for us from an Outsider Art show at the hotel in Sticklestad, Norway, which I think you will love.
Dear Ones: I strongly recommend that you wear masks in the airports and planes, as both sets of our recent guests came down ill within a day or two of arriving from overseas, and this kept them in bed instead of seeing the sights. There is a lot of fall illness–flu, stomach viruses and covid–going around.
